Kelly Lea is the Director of Operations for KPost Company.
Kelly was born into the roofing industry as his father and grandfather both owned and operated successful roofing companies in West Texas. He has been associated with the roofing industry in the DFW Metroplex since 1983 and has worked for both roofing contractors and consultants. Kelly owned and operated his own company, Leaway Roofing, until April of 2000 when he formed an alliance with Supreme Systems, and eventually merged his company into Supreme.
Kelly brings thirty-two years of commercial roofing professionalism in the DFW Metroplex and as KPost Director of Operations, Kelly manages over 100 projects a year with 230 field employees, 100 vehicles and pieces of large equipment and KPost’s 3 acre campus.
Kelly started as an apprentice for his father in the 70’s, at Leaway Roofing and has worked in every position possible in a roofing company from a roofing mechanic to an owner. Kelly joined KPC in December 2003 after successfully managing the BECK/SBC 2002 and 2003 re-roofing programs as the Chief Estimator for Supreme Roofing Company. Over the past 10 years, Kelly has been involved in more than $200,000,000 in new construction and re-roofing projects.
Kelly attended Texas Tech University and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Engineering Technology. He is involved with several roofing associations at local, state and national levels, and was one of the Charter Members of the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas (RCAT) testing and certification program, and served as President (1998-1999) of the North Texas Roofing Contractors Association (NTRCA).
Kelly has been married to Tammy since 1983 and has 2 children. Kelci, a law student who graduated Baylor School of Law in July 2010 with the degree Juris Doctor and Tyler who graduated Baylor University in the spring of 2010 and is currently employed at KPost as a fourth generation of roofing professionals.
